Sure you can just go to the web on your phone and look up www.appadvice.com. But of course performance is better and there's more features to be had while using a dedicated app.

Some of the benefits of this app/website are:

• a listing of GOOD apps that are free for the day (or on sale)

One of the best features of Appadvice is that they let you know when apps go for free on Itunes. They only give you apps that are rated at least 3 stars, so you don't have to wade through a big ugly list of poor apps and games that you wouldn't want to install anyways.

The Ipad Version is surprisingly less robust then the Iphone version, it only shows news and has no way to categorize the different types of information provided in the app.
