Android Tablets: Where are you?

I have been overwhelmed by the amount of new Android phones emerging what feels like almost every month. The army of Android is fast growing, but only on the mobile phone front?

Ever since the Ipad went on sale, I have been in a struggle not to buy it. I told myself that I will wait for an Android version of the widely popular tablet. And lo and behold, we have seen all these prototypes over the months, outdoing each other on speed, size, and overall slickness. In fact around December of last year, the NY Times technology section marked “2010: Year of the Tablet”.

What do we have? Apple's Ipad, Archos Tablet 7, (where is the) Dell Streak, and ... and? The only other tablets I found on the market are sold in Asian markets. I’m not even sure if those are genuine or not, as they are being sold for under $100.

We can usually hear a ton of buzz when new devices are about to be released for the next month or two. Velocity Micro Cruz is suppose to release in September, and according to CNET, its going to be around $299 which will be running on Android 2.1. Other than Velocity Micro, I have not found any other Android Tablet release dates in the upcoming months. If you have, let me know.
